zweigart

Name, rank and hometown:
Fritz Zweigart, Trooper Inkom, Idaho.

Organization:
Idaho State Police.

Years of service:
Three.

Most memorable experience on duty:
I arrested a younger guy for possession of multiple illicit drugs. In the courthouse hall after his court case, he was heading back to the Bannock County Jail in handcuffs and shackles when he stopped me. He asked me if he could shake my hand and thanked me for arresting him and told me that it was a life- changing experience for him.

Why you serve:
It's a fun job and every day can be different. I enjoy protecting the public who live in the same community that my family and I live. Living in the same area as I work gives me even more determination to ensure a safer environment.

Family names and ages:
Wife and one son.

Future plans:
Continue serving with the Idaho State Police.
