Communications head likes job's variety

Camille Holladay Name, rank and hometown: Camille Holladay, Regional Communications Center Supervisor, from Twin Falls.

Organization: Idaho State Police.

Years of service: More than 17 years.

Most memorable experience on duty: A telephone conversation with a Chinese couple in Hong King, notifying them of their son's death from a car accident. It was heart-wrenching.

Why you serve: I love the job and the people with whom I associate here. No two days are ever the same and I know enough never to say, "I've heard it all," because the very next phone call or incident might prove me wrong. I'm afraid if I tried working any other job after this one I would be completely and utterly bored. This work leaves me ending my work day feeling like I've actually made a difference somewhere -- hopefully a worthwhile difference.

Family names and ages: Husband, Lance, 49; daughter, Lesli Moyes, 31; son, Rich Severe, 29; daughter, Andrrea Severe, 27; son, Bradley Severe, 26; stepson, Mason Holladay, 11; grandchildren, Tanner Moyes, 7, Avery Camille Moyes, 3, Ethan Greene, 5, Mitchell Severe, 4, and Ava Severe, 10 months.

Future plans: Retire honorably from ISP, write a book, travel and make a good home for all kinds of critters.
