Highlights: Besides regular business sessions, the Board also heard from "Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho." Tom Thompson, Director of Fundraising for ISPA addressed the Board. He shared the successes, thus far, of the fundraising efforts and the call center. He urged everyone to take the time to stop by the call center and show their support and appreciation to those workers. The Director, Colonel Russell, met with the board. He shared his assessment of what has been accomplished during his first few months as the Director. He also explained several things that are in various stages of planning and implementation. He then went through a list of questions that had been submitted by ISPA members around the state. Every question was answered and discussed. Colonel Russell emphasized the importance of having an open dialogue between his office and ISPA. Though the list of questions was lengthy, he said, "If it's important to you, it's important to me." He said that we wouldn't always agree, but there will always be good discussion. He said there is nothing wrong with respectfully disagreeing. There were good discussions between the Director and the Board.
